- Decide
on a date and time for your party.
- Select
a theme for the party.
- Create
a guest party list.
- Purchase
decorations, invitations, party favors etc.. and send out the invitations
(usually 4 weeks ahead of the event).
Two
to three weeks before the Party
- Track
your RSVP to get an idea of the head count.
- Decide
on activities, games, mingling and food.
- Plan your
menu.
- Prepare
any food that can be frozen
- Purchase
favors if not already done.
- Purchase
non perishable items such as candy, film, disposable cameras, candles,
etc...
One week before
the Party
- Call to
confirm site, rentals, etc..
- Purchase
all food items.
- Place
orders as needed for food, flowers, etc...
- Prepare
food ahead of time as allowed.
- Make a
list of everything that still needs to be done before the party.
- Finalize
the head count, be flexible!
- Purchase
beverages.
Two to three days
before the Party
- Confirm
all orders placed, deliveries.
- Make a
polite call to those you have not heard from
- Buy any
Fresh Food required.
- Check
for ample amounts of film and batteries.
- Say yes
to friends and family who are asking to help!
- Clean
house
The day before
the Party
- Complete
food preparation
- Pick up
of pre-ordered cakes, flowers, etc..
- Rearrange
furniture as needed
- Decorate
for the party.
- Set table/serving
table. Layout all napkins, cups, bowls, utensils, serving dishes, bottle
openers, etc.
- Ready
the selected music
The day of the
Party
- Prepare
last minute foods and beverages
- Put up
all outdoor decorations, blow up balloons, etc...
- Start
the music, set the mood.
- Allow
yourself plenty of time to get ready for the party, a long bath, glass
of wine, quick dance, and exercise, whatever gets you in the right mood.
- Place
disposable cameras around to capture memories.
